Skip Logic is used when you want to take your respondents to a different page or set of questions when the respondents select a particular answer choice. Each answer choice can be assigned its own skip question. So, for a single-choice question where you have three options, you can create three different question paths for each answer choice using this logic. To simplify it, you can lead you respondents to three different points in the survey depending upon the answer they select.
Example of Skip Logic
Let’s take the example of Skip Logic. Let’s say we have a single choice question and if the respondents select Yes as the answer choice, the logic takes respondents to question 2 and if the respondent selects No as an answer choice, the logic takes respondents to Question number 3 or any other question in the survey.
For logic to work, you need to apply the logic on Question 1. Select the questions the logic would lead respondents to for each answer choice. Let’s see how the logic would work.
If the respondents select Yes, the next question would be about Experience.
If the respondent selects No in Question 1, the next question would be different.
1. Go to the question you want to add the logic to
2. Click on the Logic button on the right side of the question
3. Select Skip logic
4. Set the branching of the question
5. Click Save
Note: Please make sure that the skipped question is on a different page to ensure a proper logic path. You can also lead them to a disqualification page or End Page of the survey from the drop down for Skip question for each answer choice. A disqualification page is used to lead users to a page when they are disqualified because of a quota or limit. The end page is the page you can design at the end of the survey to be shown to users.
Note: Availability of Logic depends on your subscription plan. Please check before proceeding.
